To all of the free world, October 31 is Halloween. At least I’m pretty sure that it’s Halloween everywhere else as well. I’m an American and I don’t know much about other countries…
Anyway, on Halloween, I got to take a little break from my presidential campaign and from fighting evil galactic overlords and from saving those in need as an Intergalactic Gladiator like me is wont to do and take my kids trick-or-treating.
This year, like the year before and the year before, Kiera wanted to be a princess. It’s kind of funny, she’ll say that she wants to be Supergirl or a mermaid until she sees a princess costume and then that’s it, she wants that costume. So she just loves being a princess, of course, and this year the beautiful costume of choice was a snow princess. I remember hearing on the radio two years ago that 90 percent or so girls on Halloween go as princesses. I’m not exactly sure if that figure is accurate, but as you know anyone can use statistics to prove a point. Thirty eight percent of the people know that.
Paxton I suppose is a little too young to decide what he wants to dress as on his own. So he gets to be the King. That’s right, fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches for everyone, hubba ho!

Good Morning, Michele sent me to say that I love your children's names. I heard this year that 70% of costumes were princess costumes! Every little girl wants to be a princess - heck, even some of us old ladies still have that dream!
Your daughter, Kiera, made a beautiful Snow Princess! Love the costume...and Paxton should be king!
Have a great week-end!
Hi, MIchele didn't send me.
awww...they are are just adorable! every little girl deserves to be a princess but paxton got to be (the) king - hehehe. michelle says hi! ;)
ok, I couldn't help but do that...
*shrug*
My daughter was a princess this year for the first time, evar!... and after I thought she had grown out of trick-or-treating!
Awesome pics, Jon. Great, happy and healthy, good-looking kids.
...but tell me - did YOU dress up?
my favorite was the baby dressed up as a hot dog on a bun with squiggly mustard.
cute kids
michele would say so
aww so cute he looks like the perfect King ;)
I wanted to be tinkle bell or a fairy growing up
Cute pics.
Just curious what those Chinese characters are about on the last pic.
Here via Michele.
Cute pictures! Michele sort of sent me!
neat picts. love the Elvis outfit. And from my unreliable Trick-orTreat survey (watching th efolks who came by) I would say that girls under 6 had about a 50% princess there. Lots of fairies, a few witches, a vampire or two and a zombie.
Oh, very nice. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups all around!
Hi Jon, Michele sent me this time.
Looks like fun!
You my bestest friend fow ever and ever and ever!
Sara -- Thank you for the comments.
Ribbiticus -- Paxton is totally treated like a king. He gets waited on hand and foot. He gets food and entertainment at demand. I tell you, if it weren't for the inefectual arms and the lack of speaking ability, I'd love to be in his proverbial shoes.
Fluke -- Oh come on, your daughter or you?
And I did have a costume, but it wasn't all that. Just a psych ward inmate's shirt. What?
Refleksins -- That does sound cute. Of course, if it were a real Chicago dog, it would need relish, onions, tomato, celery salt, and peppers on it. Now I'm hungry.
Novy -- that's what you wanted to be? I wanted to be a policeman, then an astronaut, then a stuntman, then a soldier, then an Intergalactic Gladiator.
Tawcan -- That's Kiera's name in Chinese. At least that's what they told her at school. They studied the Chinese New Year last year.
Joe -- Thanks.
AOC -- Yeah, 90% seems pretty high to me, too. Her best friend was a vampire complete with widow's peak drawn on her forehead.
DR. Z -- Love 'em. I love the mini ones even more as they are the perfect combo of chocolate and peanutbutter.
Super pictures. You'll get a lot of Presidential votes for that.
super pics. Kids do make Halloween such fun.
Michele sent me!!
Aww, what cute kids!
Funny, my girls have never been princesses, (though one year my 11 year old was a fairy for Halloween) I guess it's their morbid, Halloween all the year through, mother rubbing off on them.
What disturbs me about Halloween is the abundance of surly teens trick or treating... It's a night for the little ones.
Here from Michele
Stopping by to say hello...
Oh, and to also say..."awww...how adorable." What a lucky man you are, ah, but you already know that!
Who is this Michele person? Should I also claim she sent me?
Jon, your children are adorable and so cute! She looks like a princess and he is precious! I suspect Michele would say that too!
Awww... beautiful kids! :) Thanks for sharing your Halloween experience with us all!
Cheers! (here from Michele's!)
Splog?
I hope that outfit doesn't go to her head, for your sake. Having a princess is nice, until they get to be a teenage princess.
Great looking kids. The wife must be a babe.
Cute Pictures. What girl doesn't want to be a princess?
well looks like from the News you are leading in the polls
Holy cow- Kiera's really grown!
I'd say you got some pretty good and engaging comments this go-round.
